The city of Palm Bay in Florida, USA has been one of the most breathtaking places to be at. It has a wonderful history that molded what they have right now. Located at one of the most beautiful part of the Brevard County, the city’s population was estimated to have more than 100,000 people making the city be the most populous city in Brevard.
Its original name was Tillman and was later on changed to Palm Bay City because of the significant beauty that the long lines of palm tree along the Turkey Creek shores gives an exemplary sight. Being situated just almost 10 miles southwest from Melbourne Florida, Palm Bay got itself a name that was really promising for people come and go in the most wonderful land of Florida .
The most urban areas in Palm Bay would be located in the Northeast part of the city. At the Southwest part where the rural areas lie and contains an area called The Compound. In this area it is a home for Bombardier Recreational Products and also where a small portion of the Bayside Lakes lies. The city of Palm Bay is thinking of developing the Bayside Lakes downtown so that they could create a focus in the main city.
Some of the most common problem is their drainage system and this is because of the sudden transfer from the General Development Corporation to the city so that all of the responsibilities when it comes to dealing for the planning for the future growth and developments with regard to designing enough drainage.
In the year 2000, the population density in Palm Bay rose. Many people come in the area to have nice sights of the most wonderful place in it. In 2008, Palm Bay was ranked as the 25th city which has the fastest growing large city in the United States. In 2010, Palm Bay had its most percentage of immigrants or foreigners born rising up to 14 percent compared to the other years which has only 8 percent.
The government of Palm Bay is being led by the Mayor and some City Councils that also acts as the legislative branch of the city. The member of the community will be the community’s decision maker thus having a council-manager form or government. The tax, city budget and other legislative tasks usually revolves around the Mayor and the Council.
Some of the major roads in Palm Bay would include Interstate 95, US1, Babcock Street, Malabar Road, Emerson Drive, Bayside Lakes Boulevard, and Bombardier Boulevard. These roads are responsible for the trading industry in the city.
There are so many historical places in Palm Bay that mirrors the great history that it had been through it building years. It somehow make the most out of the natural resources that it has because it is where they are getting most of their economic income. Tourism is one of their industries that give the city with a reasonable income annually. Palm Bay city is one of the richest city in the United States.
